What are the Added Values of Tailor-made Product Forming Molds?
In the filled-food market, the product’s visual appearance can play as one of the key factors which directly affect sales performances. And what ANKO had discovered over the years is that, not only the soul of the product lies in the fillings, but also in every pinch and fold, thickness, and the skin-to-filling ratio, which all contribute to the burst of flavors and different sensations. Yet, in order to achieve higher productivity and level of food safety and hygiene, automation is an inevitable approach; however, it often could be limited due to the inflexibility of equipment, which results in invariable products from different producers and brands.
ANKO has devoted many years of resources to developing various types of product forming and molding designs; our professional consulting team has been assisting clients with new products advancement, and have successfully created products with unique market positioning. Thus far, there have been more than 300 exclusive product molds that are designed for ANKO’s most popular machine HLT-700 Series. From the prototypes, samples could be rapidly created based on clients’ specific product attributes, recipe, pinch marks/striation, size, and weight. Then by simulating actual production test runs, the new product forming molds will be developed after satisfying results have been achieved.
How to Customize Your Unique and Exclusive Product Molds?
1. Confirm Product Specification
Our consultants will start with evaluating ANKO’s clients’ inquiries, and begin the customization services accordingly. Our engineers will then follow up and verify the desired product specifications, including the recipe for the filling, thickness of the dough/wrap, ratio of wrap to filling, elasticity, pinch marks/striation, size and, weight, as well as the samples provided. Next, we will enter the “preliminary drawing” and “spec establishment” phase.
2. Sample Mold Formation & Testing
After confirming the 3D drawing of the mold can meet the clients’ expectations, a PVC plastic mold will be first made by ANKO, and undergo simulation production test runs on the actual equipment, to detect and identify any immediate problems. Then ANKO’s engineers will integrate collective factors for auxiliary design, to reduce lead time and costs. Additionally, we will provide clients with various test results, revised guidelines, photos, and videos, so they could make better decisions based on supporting facts and information.
3. Customized Stainless Steel Molds
Once the test results are approved by our clients, a formal stainless steel mold will be produced. ANKO adopts CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines to produce the customized forming molds, which is a high-precision milling machine controlled by computers. And to ensure the product can reach global food production standards, we only employ highly durable stainless steel that meets food safety regulations.
